Fundraising
Here are some fundraising activities planned for the 2007-2008 school year:

  • Direct Drive Campaign - Year Round - If every family gave just $80 we would exceed our fundraising goals!

Make your secure donation today using PayPal!
  • Cookie dough Sale - October 15 to November 15
  • "A Night for Our Kids" Auction—March 22, 2008*
  • Walk-a-thon/Taste of Madison/Field Day - May 9th
*For more information about the Auction, please contact Christi Webster.

What your efforts will accomplish this year:

  • $5,000 per grade band to support field trips and scholarships
  • $5,000 to support Madison’s Technology Lab
  • $9,000 for the 8th grade graduation cruise
  • $2,000 Health & Nurses station for supplies
  • $250 to each team for classroom supplies
  • $5,000 Library
  • $5,000 for P.E. T-Shirts
  • $1,000 Safety / Disaster Prep
  • And our fund-an-item from last year’s auction, a beautiful new reader board, has been granted $10,000, which will be matched by outside sources. We hope to raise the remaining funds, and have the reader board installed for the beginning of 2008.

Volunteering Opportunities
Many hands can accomplish great things.

There are many opportunities to get involved at Madison. Some immediate needs are: the PTSA Board needs several dedicated individuals to fill vacant spots (please see the back of this pamphlet for a list of vacancies). The Bulldog Newsletter needs a new editor. Each of the 6 school teams (two per grade) need parent reps. Each major fundraising event needs a chairperson (except the Auction which is in the capable hands of Christi Webster) and support staff.

School events such as field trips and dances need chaperones.

There are three political entities at Madison that need parental support and involvement. They are the ASB, Site Council, and the Building Leadership Team. There are PTSA representatives on each group which allows for greater communication between the professional school community, the student body and the parents.
